The reason dark concept K-pop girl groups usually fail?

Although no one really gives a s*** about my opinions; I'm going to post this anyway.

Could it be because the companies don't get behind the groups, like they did with Dreamcatcher? Which, from my understanding was a reasonably successful group.

Is it possible that since happyface Entertainment probably had nothing to loose? Face it they were a company with an extremely talented group of girls, but were setting with their heads up their ass for over a year while the girls sat on the shelf. Until someone got the idea for Dreamcatcher. The company being probably desperate by then went with it. And as they say; the rest is history. Which I think will be studied and referenced by music (and perhaps business) historians many years from now. In my opinion; it was sheer genius by whoever got the idea and convinced the company to try it (and on the part of the girls to actually go for it).

Now, back to the original thought.

We currently have a boatload of Korean entertainment companies, all playing pretty much the same game, dark s*** all over the place (satanic, illuminati, …), of course, we're not supposed to notice that; but none with any really obviously dark girl groups (unless you are paying very close attention). Okay, maybe a couple, but mostly they are pretty obscure.

Okay, why do you suppose that is?

Don't tell me it's a morality issue; since it seems very few, if any of the K-pop corporate CEOs have any. (or many other industries for that matter)

As for occult and obscurity. That may have been necessary in the Middle Ages, but nowadays no one (or very few in any civilized location) gives a rats ass about whatever religion a person may be practicing. And it's not like many of the companies, groups and singers are seriously trying to hide it.

Maybe, it's a concern over stock value, market share, blah, blah, blah?

Bulls****! Especially for the bigger companies. They could publicly tell everyone to kiss their ass (and often basically do), and most likely still have enough income to continue as normal.

Okay. How about, “There is no market for it.” Hmm, since when does a corporation pass up a potential for extra related profit, even if it is a niche market?

Perhaps it's too much for the average (Korean) fan? Okay, I'll buy that argument. However, many of the companies are on a global playing field.

Maybe they lack the creative personnel with the imagination to do it right. (yeah, I seriously doubt that)

Or? Could it simply be that most of the people running most of the companies are too big of hypocrites (my guess), or simply lack the balls to risk having one of their girl groups go full-on, ape-s*** evil? — — — Maybe, they're afraid of the monster they might unleash?๐Ÿ˜

Oh, but maybe they don't have girls that would do that? One would hope.๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿคฃ

Maybe the people at happyface might have had similar concerns, but then again they were probably desperate. And yes, they did unleash a monster, which probably made the company a nice profit for several years.

In my opinion there is at least one K-pop company flirting with the idea (I'm not talking Dreamcatcher; they were mild in comparison). After all, there is a void left by the recent disbanding of Dreamcatcher, and several other girl groups who could have quickly filled that void (or at least partially). Question is will they do it? I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
