Witchspotting 101 (a basic introduction)

The rules for this drinking game are basically the same as most other drinking games. When a player is the first to spot certain things, they get a drink. Watch for the same or similar elements from song to song, singer to singer and group to group, surely you have noticed some things ? For example; hexagram filters on spotlights, groups performing within circles, .... Some of that stuff will seem like it is almost everywere; because it is. (almost) Don't take my word for it, watch and notice for yourself. This isn't about me telling you; it's about you thinking and seeing for yourself. I'm not a guru; I'm a whisper in the dark. Hand gestures are always fungible, having different meanings for different people: peace sign / victory / the number two (all three basically the same gesture). #witchspotting

Just to clarify, I did not create the #witchspotting hashtag. Have no idea who did, or their original intended usage. However, I am using it, in a seemingly related way. Not to identify or persecute individuals for a perceived lifestyle, but associated with a hobby for people looking for something different to do. I got the idea (probably not original) for witchspotting from the hobbies of trainspotting and planespotting, after seeing some interesting music videos on YouTube (which I actually liked). Seeing #witchspotting was already being used on Instagram and X, I decided, okay close enough. Perhaps slightly misappropriated, perhaps slightly hijacked, but still at least related.

The reason dark concept K-pop girl groups usually fail?

Although no one really gives a s*** about my opinions; I'm going to post this anyway. Could it be because the companies don't get behind the groups, like they did with Dreamcatcher? Which, from my understanding was a reasonably successful group. Is it possible that since happyface Entertainment probably had nothing to loose? Face it they were a company with an extremely talented group of girls, but were setting with their heads up their ass for over a year while the girls sat on the shelf. Until someone got the idea for Dreamcatcher. The company being probably desperate by then went with it. And as they say; the rest is history. Which I think will be studied and referenced by music (and perhaps business) historians many years from now. In my opinion; it was sheer genius by whoever got the idea and convinced the company to try it (and on the part of the girls to actually go for it). Now, back to the original thought. We currently have a boatload of Korean entertainment companies...
